In short
Purrbor has no accounts and no game server of its own, and it works offline: your game progress stays on your device. The game contains no analytics or crash-reporting tools. The game is supported by ads: ads are served by Google AdMob, which uses device data such as the advertising ID. Optional purchases are verified through RevenueCat.
What data goes where?
| Data | Goes to | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress (harbor, album, streak), settings, a copy of your purchase status, the ad frequency counter | Your device only | Running the game |
| Advertising ID and other device identifiers (on iOS, the IDFA only if you allow it) | Google AdMob | Serving ads, ad measurement, preventing abuse |
| IP address and the approximate location derived from it | Google AdMob | Serving ads, ad measurement, preventing abuse |
| Device and app information (model, operating system, language) | Google AdMob | Serving ads, ad measurement, preventing abuse |
| Ad interactions (impressions, taps) and diagnostics (ad loading performance, errors) | Google AdMob | Serving ads, ad measurement, preventing abuse |
| Anonymous ID, purchase record (which product, when; the store receipt) and device information needed for validation (platform, operating system and app version) | RevenueCat | Unlocking and restoring purchases, fraud prevention, aggregate sales statistics |
| Payment details | Google Play only (App Store on iOS) | Processing the payment; the developer never sees or stores them |
Data that stays on your device
The following is stored only on your device, in the app’s own storage, and is not sent to us: your game progress (jar hands in progress; your harbor, meaning its spots, items, visiting cats and gifts; your album, friendships and Keepsakes; statistics, records and your Daily Jar streak); your settings (sound, vibration, language, text size, accessibility, reminder time, etc.); a copy of your purchase status, so that what you bought stays unlocked offline; and a counter for the interstitial-ad frequency limit (hands finished, time of the last ad, ads shown that day). Deleting the app deletes all of this data from the device.
If device backup is turned on, this data can be included in it: Android’s automatic backup saves it to your Google account, an iPhone backup to iCloud (or your computer), and it may be restored when you install the app on a new device with the same account. These backups are held by Google or Apple; the developer has no access to them. You can turn backup off in your device settings; deleting the app does not delete an existing backup.
Progress code
With Settings › Progress › Progress code you can export your progress and settings (except the reminder setting) as text or a QR code to move them to another device. The code is created on your device only when you ask for it, and it contains no information such as your name, email address or advertising ID. Copying, sharing and keeping the code is up to you: it is not sent to us. Anyone who has the code can load your progress on their own device, so keep it somewhere you trust. Purchases are not part of the code; on a new device you recover them with Restore purchases in the store screen.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The game has two kinds of ads: interstitial ads shown from time to time when you tap One more jar at the end of a Classic jar, and rewarded ads that you choose to watch (to continue a hand, for an extra helper, or to double your fish). No ads are shown during play, in Cozy, in the Daily Jar or in the harbor; there are no banner ads. To serve and measure ads and to prevent abuse, Google AdMob receives the following from your device: the advertising ID and other device identifiers, IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app information (model, operating system, language), ad interactions (impressions, taps) and diagnostics (ad loading performance and errors).
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. Personalised ads are used only if you agree in the consent form (Google UMP); if you do not, ads are not personalised. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Purchases › Ad preferences (this option appears where the consent form applies).
- iOS. The advertising ID (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking instead of choosing “Ask App Not to Track”. The game works the same either way; ads are then not personalised. You can change this under Privacy & Security › Tracking in the iOS Settings app.
- Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in the device settings.
- The game is not directed at children; the ad content rating is capped at “parental guidance” (PG).

Purchases: Harbor Friend and No Ads (RevenueCat)
- Harbor Friend and No Ads are one-time in-app purchases. No Ads removes interstitial ads; rewarded ads remain optional. Harbor Friend includes No Ads and gives the rewarded perks (continue, extra helper, double fish) without watching ads.
- Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your payment details, including card details.
- The purchase is verified through the purchase validation service RevenueCat. For this, the app sends RevenueCat a randomly generated anonymous ID, the purchase record issued by the store (which product, when it was bought; the store receipt) and the device information needed to validate the purchase (such as platform, operating system and app version). This record is not linked to your name, email address or advertising ID.
- This information is used only to unlock and restore purchases, prevent fraud and produce aggregate sales statistics; it is not used for advertising.
- When the app starts, the anonymous ID (with the technical information above) is sent to RevenueCat to check whether you own a purchase.
- Pre-registration and pre-order reward. If you pre-registered on Google Play, Google grants the reward (the Opening Day Bunting decoration) to your account as a free in-app product; the app sees it the same way as the purchases above, through RevenueCat. If you pre-ordered the game on the App Store, the app reads this on your device from the app transaction record signed by Apple (the pre-order date); this information never leaves your device.

Sharing, notifications and ratings
- Sharing. When you tap Share to share your Daily Jar result or your album, the text (and, for the album, a picture of it) goes through your device’s share menu to the app you choose; if the share menu cannot open, the text is copied to the clipboard. The picture is made on your device and written only to the app’s temporary files for sharing. Sharing happens only when you tap; the text and picture are not sent to us.
- Streak reminder. Optional: you are asked at the end of your first Daily Jar, or you can turn it on in Settings › General › Streak reminder; turning it on asks for your device’s notification permission. When it is on, your device shows at most one reminder a day at the time you choose. Notifications are scheduled entirely on your device: no server is used, no push token is created and nothing is sent to us. You can turn the reminder off in Settings or in your device’s notification settings.
- Ratings. Occasionally the game may open the store’s own rating dialog (Google Play or App Store). Your rating and review are handled directly by Google or Apple; we receive no personal data from this dialog.
Transfers and security
Ad and purchase data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Google and RevenueCat process data on their own servers under their own policies; these servers may be outside Türkiye and Europe (for example, in the USA). Such international transfers rely on the providers’ safeguards (for example, EU Standard Contractual Clauses). The game has no server of its own run by the developer.
Legal basis and retention (GDPR and KVKK)
Personal data is processed under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) on the bases below. The data is collected electronically and automatically through the Google AdMob and RevenueCat software components in the app, and transferred to Google and RevenueCat for the purposes described above.
- Personalised ads. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, based on your consent in the consent form (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). On iOS the advertising ID (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking. You can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings › Purchases › Ad preferences, and tracking permission in the iOS Settings app.
- Serving and measuring ads and preventing abuse. Based on our legitimate interest in offering the game for free with ads (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
- Purchase verification (Harbor Friend, No Ads). Necessary to provide the product you bought (conclusion and performance of a contract: GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)).
- If you email us. We use your address and message only to answer your request.
- Retention. Data on your device stays there until you erase it or delete the app; a device backup follows Google’s or Apple’s settings. A progress code exists only where you keep it. The anonymous purchase record is kept as long as needed to provide your purchase, or until you ask us to delete it. Emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request. Children
Purrbor is designed for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The game does not ask for a name, age or email address, and the ad content rating is capped at “parental guidance” (PG). If you believe a child under 13 has played the game and data about them has been processed, write to kefukar@gmail.com: we will delete the purchase record at RevenueCat and show you how to handle ad data held by Google. For data on the device, Reset progress or deleting the app is enough.
Your rights and deletion requests
- Account. Purrbor does not create accounts, so there is no account or account data to delete.
- Data on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all game data on the device. On Android, clearing the app’s data in Android settings does the same.
- Reset progress. Settings › Progress › Reset progress (two-step confirmation) erases your game progress: harbor, album, friendships, fish, statistics, records, streak and hands in progress. Your settings and purchases stay (as do a few small records such as the ad frequency counter and which tips you have seen). Because this data is not held by us, we cannot view, correct or delete it for you.
- Ad data. Change your consent choice in Settings › Purchases › Ad preferences. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the device settings; on iOS you can withdraw tracking permission under Privacy & Security › Tracking in the iOS Settings app. For data held by Google, use the options described in Google’s policy above.
- Purchase record. To have your anonymous purchase record deleted, write to kefukar@gmail.com and include your store order number (from your Google Play or App Store receipt) so we can find the record. After deletion you can still recover your purchase through the store with “Restore purchases”.
- Your rights under the GDPR. You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.
- Your rights under the KVKK (Art. 11). You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, its deletion or destruction, and notification of these actions to those third parties; to object to an outcome against you that results solely from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
- Requests. Write to kefukar@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days. Google is an independent controller for ad data; you can also send requests about that data to Google.
- Complaints. If you are not satisfied with our reply, or do not receive one in time, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country (in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Board, under KVKK Art. 14).
