What is Purrbor?

Purrbor is a drop-and-merge game with real physics. You drop curled-up, snoozing cat balls into a jar; when two cats of the same size touch, they cuddle and grow into the next size. Every hand earns fish, and fish decorate the harbor. A jar takes 3–7 minutes and can be left at any moment and resumed later.

How do you play Purrbor?

Slide your finger along the top of the screen and release to drop a cat ball; the next cat is always shown. Two cats of the same size merge when they touch. If a cat rests above the rim line for 2 seconds, the hand ends. A bouncing cat never ends the hand, and the rim warning is always visible.

Which modes does Purrbor have?

Purrbor has three jar modes: Classic, where you chase a best score; Cozy, where the jar never overflows; and the Daily Jar, which gives everyone the same cats each day. Every mode pays fish at the end of the hand, and an overflowing jar never loses the fish you earned.

Purrbor modes
ModeHow it endsWhat is special
ClassicWhen the jar overflowsA separate record per shape, a goal for each hand, one continue
CozyWhen you tap “Finish”Extra cats quietly drift off to the harbor; no score chasing, night colours, always free
Daily JarWhen the jar overflows or you tap “Finish”The same sequence for everyone, one attempt a day, the shape changes with the weekday

How do you decorate the harbor?

The harbor is one side-scrolling scene with 8 corners and 48 items. Items are bought with fish and placed in any corner; they cannot be sold. The harbor grows through 10 levels, and each level opens new corners, jar shapes and items. Corners include the Pier, Fish Stall, Tea Corner, Rowboat, Flower Steps and Lighthouse.

How do visiting cats and the album work?

Depending on your items, 40 visiting cats come to the corners you furnish; rare ones ask for a particular item. Every cat has a name, a personality and a short story. You take each cat’s photo for the album and pet it once a day. A best friend with full hearts leaves you a keepsake.

How does the Daily Jar work?

In the Daily Jar everyone gets the same cats in the same order each day, with one attempt a day. The jar shape changes with the day of the week. The result is shared as text with coloured squares. At the end of the hand, the score of a bot that played the same sequence is shown for comparison.

Which accessibility options are there?

Purrbor has a colour-blind mode, three text sizes (100%, 115%, 130%), reduced motion, a screen-shake toggle and a left-handed mode. In colour-blind mode every cat shows its size number. Sound effects, ambient sound and vibration can each be turned off; there is no music.

Is Purrbor free?

Purrbor is free and supported by ads. There are no ads during play. Two one-time purchases are available: No Ads removes interstitial ads, and Harbor Friend includes No Ads plus extra content. There are no subscriptions, loot boxes, energy, countdowns or currency for sale.

What data does Purrbor use?

Purrbor has no accounts, no server, no analytics and no crash reporting; progress is stored only on the device. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which uses the advertising ID, IP address and device information. Purchases are verified with RevenueCat using an anonymous ID.
