Wagglewood: Puppy Merge

Wagglewood is a single-player physics merge game played with puppy balls and leashed littermate pairs. The treats you earn in the park furnish the foster home of a small highland village, and every pup that arrives there gets matched with its best home.

What is Wagglewood?

Wagglewood is a drop-and-merge game set in a small highland village at the edge of a pine forest. You drop chubby puppy balls into a play park; when two pups of the same size touch, they cuddle and grow into the next size. Some pups arrive as leashed littermates. A park hand takes 3–7 minutes and can be paused and resumed at any time.

How do you play Wagglewood?

Slide your finger above the park and release to drop a puppy ball. Two pups of the same size merge when they touch and score points. If a pup rests above the park fence for 2 seconds, the hand ends; a ring that fills around that pup warns you first. At the end of the hand, your score turns into treats.

How do littermates and leashes work?

After the first 8 drops of a hand, some pups arrive as littermates joined by a leash. You rotate the pair into one of four directions with the Turn button and drop both together. The leash is a physical rope, so the littermates pull on each other. The two pups of a pair are never the same size.

Which modes does Wagglewood have?

Wagglewood has three park modes: Park, where you chase a best score; Nap, where the park never overflows; and the Daily Park, which gives everyone the same pups each day. In every hand one pup from the foster home is your park buddy; its training advances when the hand ends, and you earn treats.

Wagglewood modes
ModeHow it endsWhat is special
ParkWhen a pup overflows the fenceA separate record per shape, a hand goal based on the park buddy’s personality, one continue
NapWhen you tap “Finish”Extra pups yawn and go to sleep in the kennel; no score chasing
Daily ParkWhen a pup overflows or you tap “Finish”The same sequence for everyone, one attempt a day, the shape changes with the weekday

How do you furnish the foster home?

The foster home is a two-storey wooden house on the edge of the village, shown in cross-section. It has 6 areas and 36 items: Porch, Garden, Playroom, Creek, Pine Grove and Attic Loft. Items are bought with treats and cannot be sold. The home grows through 10 levels, and each level opens new areas, park shapes and beds.

How do pups find a home?

When a pup is ready, three home cards appear and you pick one. There are 12 home types, such as a lakeside cabin, a bakery, a canoe club and a beach house. No card is a bad choice: a home that matches the pup’s traits brings extra treats and gold-framed postcards. A ready pup can also stay at the foster home as long as you like.

How does the Daily Park work?

In the Daily Park everyone gets the same pups and littermate pairs in the same order each day, with one attempt a day. The park shape changes with the day of the week. The result is shared as text with coloured squares, and at the end of the hand the score of a bot that played the same sequence is shown for comparison.

Which accessibility options are there?

Wagglewood has a colour-blind mode, adjustable text size, reduced motion, a screen-shake toggle and a left-handed mode. In colour-blind mode every pup shows its size number. Sound effects, the forest-and-creek ambience and vibration can each be turned off; there is no music.

Is Wagglewood free?

Wagglewood is free and supported by ads. There are no ads during play. Two one-time purchases are available: No Ads removes interstitial ads, and Village Friend includes No Ads plus extra content. There are no subscriptions, loot boxes, energy, countdowns or currency for sale, and pups are never bought.

What data does Wagglewood use?

Wagglewood has no accounts, no server, no analytics and no crash reporting; progress is stored only on the device. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which uses the advertising ID, IP address and device information. Purchases are verified with RevenueCat using an anonymous ID.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play Wagglewood offline?

Yes. The park, the foster home and the Daily Park all run inside the app; no connection is needed to play. New pups keep arriving at the foster home while the app is closed (up to 8 hours). The internet is used only to load ads and to verify purchases.

Does my progress move to a new phone?

Wagglewood has no account or cloud save. The Progress code in Settings exports your progress as text or a QR code and loads it on another device. If Android’s automatic backup or iPhone’s iCloud backup is on, progress can also be restored from there. Purchases come back through “Restore purchases” with the same store account.

Is Wagglewood available in stores?

Wagglewood is currently in closed testing on Google Play and is not yet publicly available. Store links will be added to this page when it launches.
